Saudi project sites run on four cable families that rarely come from the same shelf: XLPE armored power cable, fire rated cable for life-safety and evacuation circuits, instrumentation cable for control rooms and SCADA runs, and control cable for panel wiring and motor starters. NLS sources across all four, working directly with manufacturers and mills rather than reselling out of a single warehouse line.

Armored XLPE cable covers the low and medium voltage range most contractors ask for, typically 0.6/1kV up to 11kV and 33kV runs on larger jobs, with aluminum or copper conductor options depending on run length and voltage drop calculations. Fire rated cable follows IEC 60331 or BS 6387 style circuit integrity requirements for the panels and pumps that have to keep running during a fire event. Instrumentation cable comes in individually and overall screened pairs and triads for 4-20mA loops and RS-485 runs, and control cable covers multicore PVC and XLPE options for panel-to-field wiring.

How sourcing and pricing work

Cable pricing tracks copper and aluminum spot prices, so NLS quotes in USD and locks the rate for the validity window stated on the RFQ, typically two to three weeks. Lead time depends on gauge, length and whether the spec calls for a specific brand or certification; standard armored cable in common sizes usually ships in four to eight weeks from mill confirmation, longer for large-diameter or custom-jacket runs. NLS asks for the drawing or BOQ up front, the applicable standard (SASO, IEC, or a project-specific spec like a SAES document), and the delivery point, then returns one priced response instead of a string of back-and-forth emails.

Why project buyers use NLS for cable

NLS has delivered cable packages into a live Saudi Aramco NGL project, which means the packing lists, material test certificates and QA documentation already match what a major operator's procurement and QC teams expect to see on a submittal. That's a different starting point than a trading company quoting cable for the first time.
