HV Power Cables

HV power cable sits above the medium voltage classes most industrial projects use, typically starting around 66kV and running up through 132kV and 150kV XLPE constructions. At this voltage level, cable design gets more particular: conductor screening, insulation thickness, and the outer metallic sheath (usually lead or aluminum, in addition to the copper wire screen) all have to control electrical stress precisely, and the joints and terminations become almost as engineered as the cable itself.

The documentation trail (type test certificates, routine test reports, and installation method statements) matters as much as the cable itself at this voltage class.
